Racing in the Desert and getting ready for the tropics!

For most of us in Northern Hemisphere September marks the end of the Triathlon Season, but things are a little different in the Arizona Desert.  As tempertures start to break and 100degree + weather is finally behind them, Arizona athletes were out in force at the Nathan Tempe Triathlon.

It was great to see Stef Lotz make her comeback to the triathlon scene post - baby.  Congrats Stef - the start of fun times ahead.  Husband Mike also had a great time as this event was the start of his build to IMAZ in April.  Kyle Burnett welcomed the cooler temps by starting his build toward IM AZ as well.  And of course Marc Rubin after an already busy year, jumped in to add some variety to his training as he builds towards IM Florida in 5 weeks.  It can be tough to race mid-build but fun times are always had when you are out there in the sunshine with friends.

This week also brings us 1 more week closer to IM Hawaii.  Elise is heading down to Vegas for Interbike and to get some warm weather training in and Brit has been in Kona now for just over a week enjoying the tropical weather.  Val will be getting her final week of mileage in on the West Coast and then she too will be heading to Kona for Championships #2 of the year.

Keep posted to see how Endurance Health and Fitness Athletes prepare for Kona - fun times ahead so get out there and move!
