Endurance Health and Fitness Athletes shine in Kona!

Fantastic Day was had in Kona at the Hawaii Ironman World Championships by Endurance Health and Fitness Athletes.
  • Bill Swezc in his first trip to the island finished strong in a time of  13:04:55 - there is something to be said for water running - Congrats Bill!
  • Elise Gaudet competing in Kona just 6months after opening a brand new tri-store in Edmonton, Alberta and juggling work with training finished under the 12-hour mark in a time of 11:55:44 - for 21st overall in the very competive 45-49 age group
  • Valerie Gonzales in her 2nd World Championship event of the year(next one being 70.3 in just 3 weeks!) broke the 15-hour mark yet again and finished 5th in the female 60-64 category with an overall time of 14:51:13
  • Britni Bakk showed the world what we all knew she had.  Brit not only pb'd and broke the 10:30 barrier by finishing in 10:29:30 but she ran away with top honors in the womens 40-44 age category and finished 48th female overall.  As I said to Warren(Brit's husband) what is it like to be married to the fastest 40-year old IM athlete:)

So congratulations to all of the athletes that found themselves out there on Saturday in the lava fields.  Yes, the times are nice but there are so many other things that one takes away from such an experience.  You now own those experiences and for that you can all be Thankful:)

Next on board...IM Florida where both Bruce and Marc will challange the course, the day and themselves.

Until then, enjoy the day and get out and MOVE!
