One down two to go, yup sad but true the end of the season is getting close

It wasn't too long ago that Ironman Hawaii always signified the end of the season, than XTERRA came on board, IM Florida and of course now the 70.3 World Championships, so now we find ourselves heading into the first week of November with lots to report on!

So we will start with this past weekend and what I like to call the start of the end with many AZ athletes taking part in the growing Soma 1/2 IM  and 1/4 Man held in Tempe, AZ.

Mike, Kyle and Nancy all took part in the 1/2 whereas Stef continues her comeback post baby by taking part in the 1/4 man.  With temps reaching into the mid 90's it was a tough day out there but everyone dug deep and finished strong - and a special Congrats goes out to Nancy as she took part in her first 1/2 IM as she goes after her goal of IM Arizona in April - Way to go Everyone!

In addition a few local Vernon athletes made the trek to Maui for the XTERRA Championships where Mike Champigny finished a strong 3rd in the m25-29 category and Andrew Sellers finished strong in the very competitive M35-39 - Way to go Boys!

Next weekend will find us heading down to Florida as Bruce tackles IM Florida and then last but not least November 10th will be the final of the season with the 70.3 World Championships with Danielle and Val heading down,

So....until next weekend, get out and play!
