Summer is in Full Swing and things are heatin' up!

The past week has found Endurance Health and Fitness Athletes quite busy!

Let's start with last weekend where Brenda and Bill left the heat of the desert for what they thought would be the heat of Texas at Buffalo Springs 70.3 in Lubbock,Texas.  But rather than heat they were greated with rain and downright cool temperatures - a bit of a shock for these heat seekers, but the weather was not going to dampen their day so with arms warmers and jackets they enjoyed true Texan hospitality.  Great day out there and one more step towards your IM Canada journey!

Closer to home Vernon hosted the KalRats triathon - a sprint distance hugely popular with the first-timer and families.  Although the water was a bit choppy a good day was had by all competitors and no doubt a few newbies have caught the bug!

Osoyoos was host to the Desert 1/2 IM andwith temperatures in 30's(that would be 90's for our American friends) it proved to be a good test for those athletes getting ready for IM Canada.  Good day out there for Michael Carson and Christine and Ally who we have worked on a good nutrition plan.

Britni headed a little south to Lake Steven 70.3 where she battled it out with those zippy 40+ woman!  a 4:53 won the 40-44women age- group - You ladies Rock!  Brit had a good day, played with some fitness and finished a strong 3rd place in her age-group.

No rest for the active though - more and more races keep filling up the calender and next week is no exception as Sue Taylor does race #3 in the LifeSport Series.

So, get out there and move!

Cheers,

Mel
