Sue Taylor has been busy this season taking part in the LifeSport 1/2 IM series on the WestCoast of BC. This past race in the series was held in Vancouver and allowed athletes the opportunity to experience the ocean, some great hills on the ride and a scenic run. Sue has succeeded in taking a few minutes(ok more than a few - more like 30min) off her first race in this series and looking forward to the final race in Sooke in September as she ramps up her training for IMAZ in November - fun times ahead!
Val has a theory - pick a race somewhere new and beautiful, get some sightseeing in - like a lake swim,a 180km bike and a marathon - and you get to know a new place in this beautiful world of ours. Val's pick this season was beautiful Zurich. And in true Val form (she truly is the energizer bunny) Val not only gets to see the beauty of Switzerland this year but the beautiful landscape of the Kona coast as Val is Kona bound!!! Congratulations girl! It took some work on the run on her part and although she did not have a enough realestate to catch first in the female 60-64 age-category she finished 2nd in her age and finished with a sub 5hour marathon andsecured her spot in Hawaii for October. Val's consistency and true ability to deal with whatever the day brings allows her to enjoy her journeys and ultimately discover things about herself and new places in the world! Great day out there girl!
So.....what are you doing still reading this - get out there and move!!
