Over $2million raised and counting for Crohn's and colitis - yes it was a fabulous weekend!
As many people know Crohn's disease plays a big role in our family as my husband was diagnosed with the disease almost 13 years ago now. In just over a year through a 1/2 marathon training program called Team Challage the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America(CCFA) has raised over 3million dollars for research and I am so very proud to be part of this incredible journey. This past weekend we were in Sonoma and Napa for the TEAM CHALLANGE 1/2marathon where we raised over 2million of that 3million and it is still coming in! This is my second event as National Run Coach and my first event as a National Team coach where we coach participants who are not quite close enough to a local chapter via conference calls and emails. I am happy to report we had a 100% completion for all those athletes that started from our teamand quite honestly - YOU ALL ROCKED!!!!!
Our next event is the San Antonio 1/2 marathon in November. If you would like information on how to become a Team Challange Participant or to donate you can visit www.ccfa.org
Congratulations and get out there and move -because you know what....You can......
Cheers,
Melissa
