Yesterday was the women's Olympic Triathlon in Beijing a great race with the overall winner Emma hailing from Australia - but my favorite and friend Laura Bennett had a great day finishing 4th - Way to go Laura!  Tonight it is the Mens Race and of course we are all be cheering loudly for Simon- Go Simon Go!!!!  No doubt it will be exciting!

A little closer to home we had our own excitment with the Kelowa Apple triathlon once again selected for Nationals.  Suzanne Flannigan enjoyed a great comeback to racing as she finished 8th in her age-category - her second full triathlon of the season and she can't wait for next season to start!!!  Sue Abbot finished tops in the w 60-64 - and Sue Taylor took some time away from all of her renos to have some fun with some speed as she played with the Olympic distance as she starts her build towards IMAZ.  You girls ROCK!

This coming weekend - IM Canada - I believe one of the most beloved venues for an IM race.  This year is going to be tons of  fun as we have some returness to the course and some first timers - all very exciting!!  Can't wait to report back on how it all goes.  So, in the meantime enjoy the month of August because as we all know -time flies when you are having fun!!
