There is just something very special about Ironman Canada.  Whether you are a first time Ironman athlete, a first time Ironman Canada athlete or a veteran of racing you will agree the energy around IMC is truly electrifying!  From the wetsuit strippers to the last aid station the volunteers and the locals are there to support you the athlete!

It was a strange weather day to say the least - started off with some patchy cloud and by the mid-way on bike it felt down right warm and then by the time the majority of the athletes were on the run rain had started - but as always with this event the rain could not dampen the spirit of the event!

Congratulations go out to Brenda, Bill, Michael, Ronnie and Nancy!  And to our Arizona friends Robyn and Kim who made the trek up too!  Some personal bests were achieved, some personal victories( I really do like open water swimming!!!) and some fast bike times(zippy little Nancy had the fastest split of all 50-54year old women!) in addition to having an incredible journey to an incredible event.  Now the recovery process is upon you - enjoy it, enjoy your efforts and enjoy the journey to whatever adventure is next!
