March comes in like it is January never mind the whole lion/lamb thing!

March indicates the start of triathlon season here in the Northern Hemisphere. Several North American athletes headed down to the Southern Hemisphere to compete in this years 25th IM NZ race and of course the BC season opener of UBC - but someone forgot to tell mother nature as this season the temps are CRAZZEEEEEE!!!!!

I kid you not - outside my kitchen window this morning it was -17degrees!!!!!  But the temps aren't scaring anybody off and in fact athletes are heating things up!  A big congrats goes out to Christine Suter as she topped the F40-44 age category and was 2nd overall at the UBC Olympic distance race on the weekend - who needs to feel their toes?!?!?!?  And Balance Point Racers Ginny and Andrew had FABULOUS days in IM NZ both of them securing spots for Kona in October - you can read more about their experience at  http://www.balancepointracing.com/forum/index.php

Go to the "Race Talk" room.

This weekend is a bit quieter as people prepare for the Comox 1/2marathon and then the Campus to Campus 1/2marathon in Kelowna.  I still have to believe that spring and summer will appear and will we be ready:)

Cheers and bundle up and get out there!
