September is upon us and we are busy getting the last rays of summer

Dawna leaving Pavan Aid station after 25k

Dawna leaving HQ's to start her 2nd loop - over 1/2 way to go!

Lot's of racing was raced - from Australia, to Lethbridge and places inbetween!

We will start with the ITU World Triathlon Championships, Sooz found herself playing with some speed after a summer of Ironman training and got to enjoy both the race and the great "down under" hospitality - what a FABULOUS way to finish of a GREAT season - 2nd Canadian finisher in the woman's 45-49 age group to top it off!  Now she is enjoying some sun and surf before returning to Lethbridge.

And speaking of Lethbridge - our "crazy runner girl" Dawna had an absolutely AWESOME day at the Lost Soul Ultra run.  It was an absolute treat to support Dawna in this event.  There were 3 races at this event - a 50k, a 100k and a 100miler.  Dawna opted for the 100k and simply rocked!  2nd female finisher and rounded out the top 10 overall!  The course was hot hot hot and very challanging - the term "coulee" has a whole new meaning to her now - and to think I thought it was a dessert topping!  Congrats Dawna , thanks for the fabulous experience and I am sure your feet will recover soon!!!!!!!!!

Rounding out the weekend was the Cultus Lake triathlon - moved from it's previous date in May, now it is in September and the race enjoyed fantastic weather. Sue Abbot had a great race there and enjoyed a 2nd place finish in her age category.  Now it is on to some fun runs and IMC 2010- YAHOOO!!!!!

Overall a great way to Greet September.  Next on the list of races: Brit is heading to Hawaii and Mike and Stef will be playing in Arizona at Nathen's in the not to distant future -

So.....get out there and move!
