I LOVE October - there is a distinct change in the air and the colors are simply stunning - it is the PERFECT month!

October in Canada also means Thanksgiving and that means lots of turkey.  October for triathletes means the one and only Hawaiian Ironman! This year Brit is back on the island I think this is 5years in a row now!  You can keep an eye on her day by checking out the live coverage at www.ironman.com.  The day never disappoints with its crazy winds, temps and humidity - you gotta love it!

For those not heading over to the big island, October is all about running.  Victoria marathon is this weekend (Go Val Go!!!!!) as is Kelowna marathon(Go Karmen go!!!) and 1/2 marathon (go Jim go!!!!!)  Personally I think a good run makes the turkey taste better:)

And can not forget our great friends to the south.  It may not be the American thanksgiving yet, but they are still busy down there.  Mike and Stef did the Tempe International 2 weeks ago with Mike getting his first podium finish (couldn't figure out why he wasn't passing people - because they were all behind him!!!!!) and then next week is the Soma 1/2 IM.  So, lots of racing going on so get out there, enjoy the season and move!
