GREAT form Karmen - looking relaxed and smooth
|
October has been good to Endurance Health and Fitness Athletes! Whether it was racing or volunteering IM Hawaii was simply amazing! Michael spent the week volunteering in the office of IM and of course out on the course marshalling on race day in addition Jeannette and Robert made their first visit to the island and experienced the IM from a volunteers perspective.
Britni made one more trip to the island and had a great day in the female 40-44 age group. Such a tough age-group - these ladies rock! Brit finished within the top-10 while working through some nutritional issues during the day, but she persevered and had a strong finish.
A little closer to home, Val qualified for Boston by running a 4:14 in the 60-64 age-group at the beautiful Victoria marathon - our energizer bunny just keeps going and going. And even closer to home Karmen took on the Kelowna marathon. After a VERY chilly start - it was -8C at the start line she broke her PB by 30mins!! Way to go girl! Check out the photo - great form at the 15k mark!
Wha'ts next.....Stef and Mike will be doing the Soma 1/2 in just 2 short weeks and then it is on to IM AZ and IM Cozumel. And of course - Chris is still raising funds for CCFA and the Vegas 1/2 marathon - he just passed the $3000.00 mark on his way to $5000.00 Don't forget to check out his fundraising page. www.active.com/donate/lv09national/2009CSpooner
