Phoenix to Canada - quite a climb

After spending nearly 3 years in Scottsdale, AZ, my husband, Chris, and I decided to pack things up and move to the much smaller town of Vernon, British Columbia.

One of the things I know that I will miss is the months of November - March and the ability to ride your bike whenever you want - in other words, not having to check out the weather channel before you head out for your 3-hour ride.

However, one thing that I did miss during my time in Phoenix is some good hills.  Now given the size of the city, Phoenix has some great riding, but I mean going out on your bike and not having to stop and having some good hills to make you strong.  Well, I got my wish.  I met up with Jen, Glenn, Ron, Janice and Brad in Armstrong as we had planned to do the 100k loop.

I kid you not - the hill I saw in Salmon Arm should not be allowed - I was really ok with the fact that I may just have to walk my bike up it, my ego is not that fragile!!  Well, I made it, but I can tell you we rode 100k without one stop light and many many many hills.  A fun time was had and a great way to spend the last long weekend of the summer!

Thanks Guys for making me feel so welcome!
