Where to start......
The past weekend saw lots of excitement so where to start.......
In Florida at the Great Escape Marc Rubin played with some speed and qualified by finishing 2nd in the 40-44 Age Group for The Escape from Alcatraz to be held in June. Marc will now enjoy some tempo work, have some fun at the Caliornia 70.3 while he focuses on Ironman Arizona.
In Canada, Valerie took part in the UBC Triathlon - North America's largest indoor Triathlon which also happens to be the first triathlon to take place in British Columbia and start the tri season in the Great White North. Val took the opportunity to check out her fitness for the coming season and even though the racers had to deal with torrential rain and high winds it was a great start to the season. Val also handily won her age group division by 6mins! 2007 is going to be fun!
In addition to UBC triathlon, the 6th run in the Island Race Series took place at the 5k Bazan Bay. Always a fun fast course and Sooz went out hard and finished strong building her run strength and she builds through the series
Next week athletes will take part in the Comox 1/2 Marathon the 7th race in the Island Race Series and the Bartlett Triathlon just outside of Phoenix, AZ, so.....
GET OUT AND PLAY!
