Report for the weekend of June 2/3
It's been a busy one!
Lots of Action this past weekend for Endurance Health and Fitness Althletes. We'll start closer to home, but with the crazy record temperatures we might have been racing in Arizona! With temperatures surely reaching well into the low 40's(close to 100degrees) and with no preparation for that heat Bruce and Michaelhad two very smart days as they managed their nutrition and their mind by pacing through the day and crossing that finish line happy and healthy and ready for more summertime fun with Bruce getting ready to head to Couer D'Alene in a couple of weeks and Michael getting set for his next build towards IM Canada. As this was pretty much a local race for those of us in the Okanagan it was simply a delight to see all the Masters swimmers that I coach out there and having a fabulous day, you all dug deep for a great day! Hopefully I don't miss anyone but here I go - congrats to: Sue, Trish, Adrianne, Venke, Laura and Jamie!
Over to the island where the Panarama Triathlon was held and Valerie had a strong day coming off of St. Croix 1/2. She is now playing with some speed before she heads back to the 1/2 IM distance in July- she even had a PB on her swim to Boot! Good Day out there Girl!
Last but not least.......Danielle and Marc braved the chilly waters of Alcatraz and had ,as always a fabulous experience Really, what is there not to love about this race........Swim in the ocean with sharks and freezing temps, ride hills that really should not be legal and last but not least lets just throw in a sandladder on the run! Great job you two!
Next week Brit gets ready for the Vancouver ITU race.
So.....get up and get out there!
